Technically, the term “restoration” means the return of an item to its original state after any violation or modification. For classic cars, this means that the car will revert to the state it was in when it left the factory or plant where it was made. This primarily applies to collectible cars that buyers see as investments.

Wealthy people have long understood that instead of constantly chasing fashion (which you still can’t keep up with), trying to look for individuality in the “newest”, “fancy” and “cool”, one should turn to the unique, noble and traditional: recognized masterpieces of the automotive industry, i.e. to classic cars. After all, what is “cool” today, literally in a couple of years turns into “old”. And the classics live forever.
Paradoxical as it may sound, a classic car produced 40-50 years ago gives a person a much greater sense of uniqueness, individuality, nobility than any modern one. He is able to project to others about the owner much richer information, and not only about his wealth, but also about taste, education, adherence to traditions and classical values. In addition, this has a purely practical meaning: a collection car not only does not become cheaper over time, but becomes more expensive, on average, by 10% annually. Those. is an investment.
Therefore, instead of signing up for the purchase of, for example, a new S-klasse W222 or any other fresh model of a luxury brand, it is much more interesting and wiser to think about purchasing a 300SL, or a classic W111, W113, W121 or another retro car, because no matter how hard you try marketers and advertisers, no matter how they shoot beautiful video clips, the modern auto industry will never be equal in uniqueness to the famous models of the concern, and even more so it will never rise in price from year to year.
