NVIDIA Discontinues Production of RTX 20xx Series Cards

A fresh leak indicates that NVIDIA has begun discontinuing its GeForce RTX 20XX cards. This is, in particular, the models RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 Super, RTX 2070 Super and RTX 2070. This is supposed to free up space for RTX cards on Ampere chips.
In addition, there are rumors that such a move could lead to a shortage of cards of the 20th series until the 30th. And this can trigger a price increase. And the greens expect an increase in demand for their video cards due to a new jump in the popularity of cryptocurrency mining.
And although the company has not yet announced the exact release date, the very fact of the termination of production indicates an early announcement. Indeed, in this way, NVIDIA wants to clear the warehouses for new video cards.

At the same time, the media report that the release may take place on September 17, that is, almost two years after the 20th series. Note that it was announced on August 20 and launched on the market a month later, on September 20.
